Dietary Needs, Menu Planning, Food Preparation & Sanitation

The Dietary Needs Course is a state approved program to meet the requirements of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Administrative Code. The course begins with a review of the six nutrient groups to provide the caregiver with information on the building blocks for optimal health and wellness. The caregiver will be given the opportunity to learn how to plan a balanced meal using appropriate resources.
Requirements
- Pre-registration IS required.
- Fees cover the presentation and written materials.
- Cancellations accepted until 48 hours prior to the class for a full refund or transfer to another course.
- All participants must bring proof of identity on the first day of class.
- Course times include competency testing at the end of class.
- Competency Testing is offered in written form upon completion of all required contact hours.
- A score of 80% or better is considered passing.
- If an unsatisfactory score is obtained, the participant may retake the exam one additional time on the same day.

COVID-19 Guidelines
- We are asking participants to bring a mask to protect themselves and our team of employees. If they do not have a mask, we will gladly provide one.
- Upon entrance to our store, each student will be greeted by a retail associate to safely prepare them for training.
- Regular disinfection, safe distancing and their own table are just a few of the added safety measures that can be expected in the training experience.
- All other training materials are properly sanitized after each use.
