A NEW CHAPTER FOR STREU’S
Streu’s Pharmacy is excited to announce a new chapter for our business that includes growing and strengthening our long-term care pharmacy services, which supports more than 2,200 patients in the greater Green Bay community. This strategic transition will allow us to ensure the health and future of our organization while continuing to elevate care and serve our community in meaningful ways. Streu’s has proudly served this community for 70 years, and we are committed to being here for the next 70.
To ensure the financial health of our organization and after much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue Streu’s Community Pharmacy and retail store operations on November 30, 2025.
This decision was not made lightly, but it has become necessary due to the unsustainable challenges posed by declining reimbursements from pharmacy benefit managers. Like many community pharmacies, we have faced daily claims reimbursed at rates below acquisition costs, and despite our best efforts to absorb these losses, this model is no longer viable.
What does this mean for Community Pharmacy Patients?
We will help you have a smooth transition to the pharmacy of your choice over the next few months. We can also assess whether you may qualify for blister pack services in Long Term Care.
You can request your prescriptions be transferred or assess eligibility at any time by:
- Asking your pharmacist during your next visit
- Calling us at (920) 437-0206 – Option 2
- Fill out the “Contact Us” form here.
What does this mean for Long-term Care Pharmacy Patients and Partners?
For our long-term care patients, nothing will change. You will continue to receive the same reliable, high-quality care and service you’ve come to expect from us. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly at (920) 437-0206 – Option 1.
The closure of Streu’s Community Pharmacy after 70 years is a loss we do not take lightly, and we remain committed to using our voice to advocate for pharmacy benefit manager reform and for solutions that allow independent community pharmacies to thrive.
Thank you for your partnership and support over the years. It has been a privilege to help support the health and wellness of all in our community.
